Advantech Achieves Record High in S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, Wins Two Major Awards in Sustainability Yearbook

5/22/2026

Advantech Co., Ltd. (TWSE: 2395), a global leader in IoT intelligent systems and embedded platforms, has achieved a composite ESG score of 89 in S&P Global's 2025 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) — its best result since first participating in 2021. The company has also once again been included in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Index (DJBIC, formerly Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI)). In the newly released S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026, Advantech stood out from more than 9,200 companies worldwide to rank among the Global Top 5% sustainable companies, and was honored as the sole “Industry Mover” in its sector — in recognition of its significant progress in sustainability.

Eric Chen, Advantech's President of General Management, said: “Earning both the Global Top 5% and Industry Mover distinctions is our strongest result yet — and a testament to Advantech's enduring commitment to sustainable governance and AIoT innovation. As the world pushes toward net-zero and AI continues to reshape industries, Advantech keeps ESG at the heart of how we operate and innovate. By building on sound governance, eco-design, and co-creation with global partners, we’re strengthening our position as a sustainable business — and bringing to life our vision to ‘Enable an Intelligent and Sustainable Planet.’”

Received Full Marks in Seven Key Indicators; AI Empowerment Accelerates Low-Carbon Transition Across the Value Chain

In this sustainability assessment, Advantech achieved full marks in seven key indicators — Risk & Crisis Management, Policy Influence, Tax Strategy, Energy Management, Waste & Pollutant Management, Water Management, and Occupational Health & Safety. Its overall environmental performance ranked in the top 1% of the industry. Advantech completed SBTi Near-Term and Net-Zero target certification in Q1 of this year, deployed AI to establish its Product Carbon Footprint AI Platform, and incorporated Internal Carbon Pricing (ICP) into investment and product decisions to enhance green product competitiveness. On the energy transition front, Advantech's global renewable energy coverage rate is projected to reach 24% this year, steadily advancing toward its 2040 global RE100 target. In addition, Advantech's major global manufacturing sites have obtained ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certification, which helps the company strengthen safe workplaces and operational resilience through systematic risk identification, preventive management, and continuous improvement mechanisms. The Linkou AIoT Co-Creation Campus has also completed the implementation of a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) and received dual certification for Green Building and Intelligent Building.

Enhancing Governance Resilience and Social Good; Dual-Track Strategy for Building a Global Critical Talent Pipeline

Advantech has been recognized in the top 5% of the Corporate Governance Evaluation for five consecutive years. To strengthen global governance perspectives, the Sustainable Development Committee (SDC) has brought in external experts to provide diverse perspectives and has promoted the linkage of senior executive compensation with ESG performance. On supply chain governance, Advantech has partnered with key suppliers to strengthen carbon inventory capabilities in accordance with the ISO 14064 standard, with the objective of obtaining certification by 2027; the ESG Empowerment Counseling Program also continues to enhance decarbonization capabilities across the value chain. In the social dimension, Advantech was named Forbes’ World’s Best Employers 2025 and was listed among TIME's World's Most Sustainable Companies of 2025, owing to its outstanding workplace culture and employer brand. To build a global critical talent pipeline, Advantech has enhanced its Global APEX Program and integrated it with the Individual Development Plan (IDP), cultivating high-potential talent and preserving organizational knowledge through cross-national, cross-domain projects, mentorship, and senior executive coaching. At the same time, Advantech continues to develop industry-academia collaborations with leading universities worldwide, bridging the practical needs of industry with academic research capabilities. This helps address industry pain points and accelerate the deployment of Edge AI across all industries and sectors.

Looking ahead, Advantech will continue to focus on its three sustainability pillars — Green Operations, AIoT Popularization and Mutual Benefit, and Employee & Community Enrichment, advancing ESG from system establishment to deeper performance integration, while using its core AIoT business to build lasting competitive strength on the global stage. At COMPUTEX 2026, Advantech will also unveil its ESG Smart Base Station — built by integrating its core technologies, featuring renewable energy, environmental monitoring, and e-paper displays, through which it aims to partner with organizations worldwide and amplify its sustainability impact.
