Advantech Establishes WWBO Global Operating Model and Develops an AI-Driven Autonomous End-to-End Supply Chain
3/4/2026
Advantech (TWSE: 2395), a global leader in IoT intelligent systems and embedded platforms, hosted an investor conference today (March 4th), which was presided over by Chairman KC Liu alongside two co-presidents – Mr. Eric Chen and Mr. Miller Chang. Advantech demonstrated continued operational resilience throughout 2025. Despite challenges such as geopolitical tensions, tariffs, and supply chain fluctuations, the company achieved a record-high in annual revenue, driven by robust demand in key markets which were fueled by the accelerated upgrade of Edge AI. For the full year 2025, consolidated revenue reached NT$70.882 billion, representing a 19% YoY increase. Gross profit totaled NT$28.198 billion (gross margin of 39.8%), operating profit amounted to NT$11.567 billion (operating margin of 16.3%), and the consolidated net income after tax reached NT$10.593 billion (YoY +18%).
Eric Chen, President of General Management and CFO, stated, “The overall demand remains strong as the Book-to-Bill (B/B Ratio) reached 1.33 in 4Q25, higher than the last quarter. More specifically, three major regions in 4Q25 indicated strong B/B performance, with North America at 1.28, Europe at 1.57, and China at 1.25. Looking ahead, Advantech maintains a steady and positive outlook for 1Q26. The revenue is projected to be in the range of US $590 million to US $610 million, while operating gross profit margin is expected to be between 38.0% and 40.0%, with the operating profit margin anticipated to range from 16.0% to 18.0%.
“Edge Computing & AI-Powered WISE Solutions” — A Key Advocator for Edge AI Realization
KC Liu, Chairman of Advantech, stated that 2025 marks a pivotal year for Advantech in demonstrating operational resilience and advancing its transformation. In response to the industry-wide shift toward AI integration and the rapid evolution of edge computing, the Company will adopt "Edge Computing & AI-Powered WISE Solutions" as its core brand development strategy in 2026. Advantech will continue to deepen its hardware and software integration, while aiming to build a highly flexible and scalable edge solution platform. In the AI era, Advantech is committed to becoming the leading advocate for “Edge AI implementation”, striving to be the market’s most trusted provider of critical hardware and software platforms.
Chairman KC Liu further emphasized that Advantech will continue to implement the “Niche-BU-Cluster” and its “Amoeba Management” models, strengthening its global market penetration strategy centered on high value-added solutions. To accelerate regional and industrial expansion with greater discipline, the company will establish WWBO (Worldwide Business Operation) as the worldwide HQ for regional business operations across eight regions. Meanwhile, Advantech is building a global end-to-end (E2E) supply chain centered on Cross-Docking and AI-driven Autonomous Operations. This initiative aims to achieve full-process visualization and autonomous decision-making capabilities across planning, procurement, and supply collaboration. The company expects to achieve over 80% coverage in E2E and Cross-Docking, improve inventory turnover efficiency by approximately 30%, and reduce production cycles by 50%. These operational advancements are designed to support the surging market demand driven by the rapid growth of Edge AI applications.
Building the Edge AI Ecosystem and WEDA Developer Architecture to Ignite the Next Wave of Physical AI Growth
President of Advantech’s Embedded Sector, Miller Chang, stated that as market demand extends from cloud to edge sites and enterprise premises environment, Edge AI is becoming the primary engine for the next wave of industrial transformation. The focus of enterprise AI adoption is shifting from a pure computing power race to creating tangible operational value within real-world scenarios. This includes demands for real-time decision-making, data privacy, and low-latency computing, which are accelerating the growth of Edge AI inference applications. Furthermore, as AI applications grow increasingly complex, industry competition is evolving from a traditional supply-chain model centered on components and hardware platforms to a new paradigm driven by system integration capabilities and ecosystem collaboration.
Advantech continues to deepen its Edge AI hardware and software platform deployment, with scalable implementation of industrial Edge AI. The company has newly launched WEDA (WISE-Edge Developer Architecture) under its WISE software platform. Through standardized and modular design, WEDA integrates diverse chip architectures to establish a unified Edge AI development environment, supporting rapid deployment and multi-site expansion while enabling full AI Lifecycle Management from development and deployment to operations. Advantech has also established a three-tier hardware architecture, spanning from Edge Embedded and Edge AI to on-premise enterprise servers. By combining the WEDA developer architecture with world-leading edge ecosystem partners, Advantech delivers pre-integrated and scalable solutions. These applications have already expanded into smart manufacturing, robotics, smart healthcare, and smart cities, with the strongest momentum seen in AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), automated production lines, and energy infrastructure.
Looking forward, as Physical AI and autonomous applications continue to accelerate, Advantech will focus on "Scalability, Integration, and Strategy" to help customers transform computing power into sustainable business value. Through its WISE platform, Advantech aims to bridge the "last mile" from Proof of Concept (PoC) to large-scale commercialization in Edge AI. By improving deployment success rates across industries, Advantech is positioning itself to enter the next era of industrial AI growth and fulfilling its brand vision of” Enabling an intelligent planet.”
