At Automation Taipei 2025, Advantech proudly introduces the Advantech Solution Pilot AMR DevKit, a pre-validated reference design that enables developers, OEMs, and solution providers to accelerate the deployment of next generation autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). Combining 360° 2D/3D visual perception, high-performance edge AI, and multi-modal intelligence through Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and Large Language Models (LLMs), the DevKit empowers AMRs to understand, interact, and navigate with intelligence.

The Advantech Solution Pilot AMR DevKit combines panoramic perception, edge AI, and VLM+LLM intelligence to build robots that don’t just move—they understand, label, and guide. Designed for system integrators and equipment providers, the DevKit offers a fast, modular path to upgrade traditional AGVs into intelligent AMRs.

  • 360° Surround Perception with 2D/3D Vision
    Equipped with 4 GMSL 2D and 4 stereo 3D cameras, the DevKit delivers panoramic, depth-aware sensing with millisecond-level frame sync—ideal for visual SLAM, 3D mapping, and obstacle detection. 
  • Edge AI Compute Accelerated by NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin
    At the heart is the rugged, fanless MIC-732-AO, accelerated by NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin with up to 275 TOPS of AI compute. It supports NVIDIA Isaac ROS CUDA-Accelerated libraries and AI models, and NVIDIA JetPack 6.0 for accelerated inferencing, modular integration, and scalable deployment. 
  • VLM-Based Scene Labeling + LLM-based Natural Language Navigation
    With integrated Vision-Language Models (VLMs), the DevKit can semantically analyze its surroundings and automatically tag locations or objects into a vector database. When paired with LLM-enabled voice or text input, users can simply say, “Where can I get some coffee?” and the AMR will navigate directly to the VLM-labeled destination—bridging visual perception and natural interaction. 
  • Unified, Modular ROS 2 Architecture
    Built on ROS 2, the platform supports plug-and-play hardware, flexible I/O, and pre-integrated perception pipelines—empowering developers to focus on application logic, not infrastructure stitching.
